Dry needling is used for pain reduction caused by trigger points or taut bands in muscle tissue, restoring muscle function and strength. It can reduce inflammation, improve joint mobility & even reduce inflamed soft tissues following acute injuries. There are times where needles are actually more comfortable than anything else, including massage.
All treatment options will be discussed prior to treatment. Dry Needling and Acupuncture go really well together. Acupuncture is a more sophisticated and full philosophy, so at times people who want Dry Needling are not always suitable for it, and Acupuncture will be better. I can discuss this with you when we meet.
I always gain consent, then talk you through the process. If you’re wary or anxious, we can address this first.
