Please note: Some ACC claim numbers, older than a year can be accepted if you have NOT activated them at all for Acupuncture (this means you may have used some Osteo or Physio OR Chiro and Physio but never used Acupuncture so it MAY still be valid). Once the claim is activated for Acupuncture you have 12 sessions to use, within 12 weeks.
*VERY IMPORTANT – this does NOT affect treatment with other allied health professionals. Your ACC Claim number also has different and separate allocations for sessions with a Chiropractor, Physiotherapist, Osteopath, or Podiatry depending on the injury, their time frames vary. Check with them. This is only the rule for Acupuncture ACC ONLY!
- If you are a NEW CLIENT (or have a new injury) please book a 75-minute consultation for ACC Acupuncture
- Follow-ups are then 60-minutes
- If you would like to ADD-ON a Remedial Massage book with Rebecca Dodson you can choose from 10 minutes (extra $20) not covered by ACC

What sort of treatment will I get?
As acupuncturists, we are trained to use a variety of treatments. Needles are one option.
Sometimes people are concerned about receiving acupuncture with needles as they often only have the injection to compare it to. Rest assured, acupuncture needles are very slim/fine needles that are inserted easily and are usually comfortable. Sometimes you may feel a sharpness or pinch as they are inserted but this is very quick and then it’s over.
What people often don’t know or talk about, is how wonderfully relaxing a treatment is (especially when we treat your injuries AND the underlying conditions).

Privacy: Looking after our clients privacy is important to us. We use a secure booking system to take notes and store information. We are legally required to write notes for each treatment, including TCM diagnosis and all the needles we use. We are bound by The Chinese Medical Council of NZ.
