Booking at The New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine

To see Rebecca between July-December 2024, choose a booking on Thursdays – 1.30pm, 2.15pm, 3pm.

Cost is $20 for the consultation (does NOT include herbs)

*Please note Jessica is normally $200 for a consultation. Supervisors oversee ALL prescriptions made for students.

Cost of Herbal Medicine varies and due to the huge range of individual herbs (they are not the same some can be quite expensive), I cannot say the exact cost.

Each person is given a prescription, you choose how long for 1-2 weeks for example so the cost of herbs for 1 week may be another $50 for a week – example low cost $70 with consultation OR more. I have seen people pay $300-400 in total (older clients with greater underlying conditions than those who are young).

This is VERY affordable its top tier medical granulated herbs, which you will take with you. An investment in your health.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

We are not currently offering chinese herbal medicine in our Massey clinic, however you can see Rebecca in the Chinese Herbal Medicine Student Clinic in Greenlane – View our Chinese Herbal Medicine page for more information and how to book.

Chinese Herbal Medicine is often referred to as “internal medicine”. It falls under the umbrella of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which uses chinese herbs and acupuncture. Not all therapists complete the 4th year of herb study, but the added diagnostic training and the actual herbs themselves are incredibly beneficial. Some conditions using just acupuncture alone will not achieve a fast or full result.

Herbs work by changing internal imbalances caused by too much cold or heat, to much dampness (ie fat is one way of considering this concept), age, loss of vitality, and also from the depth of disease such as when it affects our organs, not just the superficial areas like when we have muscle, bone, tendon, and facial issues, (but CAN also help with muscle and ligament tears, wound healing, recovery from disease, also from ongoing distress, and much more. It’s a wonderful fast and effective way to feel so much better.

Using Chinese Medicine theory, herbal medicine is a great way to get your blood moving, when it isn’t (stationary job, aging, post-accident, postpartum birth).

Reviews:

Took my husband for Acupuncture, and Herbal Medicine. They listened and communicated well as to what was required. Gave us some homework. I collected the herbs the next session booked. We are back here Monday for more pain relief from his pain. Very happy and would recommend to everyone.

I have had herbs prescribed in my Acupuncture appointment, I was 14 weeks post covid, I was struggling with my breath and feeling sluggish and the herbs really helped. I am back exercising now and feeling much better.
